Relief in Sight? Light Rain Predicted on June 12
The IMD has forecasted light rainfall in parts of northwest India on June 12, which could bring temporary relief from the scorching heat. However, this will likely be followed by a spell of high humidity, which could make the weather uncomfortable again.
Stay Safe During the Heatwave: IMD Issues Public Advisory
The IMD has urged residents in affected areas to take the following precautions:
-
Avoid direct sunlight between 12 PM and 4 PM
-
Drink plenty of fluids and avoid caffeinated beverages

Wear light, breathable clothing
-
Keep an eye on vulnerable groups, including the elderly, children, and pets
