In a union of sports and politics, Indian cricketer Rinku Singh is all set to tie the knot with Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj. Their grand wedding will take place on November 18 at Hotel Taj in Varanasi (Kashi), following their engagement ceremony on June 8 in Lucknow.
The news was confirmed by Priya’s father, Tufani Saroj, who is a senior Samajwadi Party MLA from Kerakat in Jaunpur, Uttar Pradesh. “The engagement will be a private family affair in Lucknow, while the wedding will be a grand celebration attended by top names from cricket, politics, cinema, and business,” he said.
💍 A Modern Love Story With Traditional Roots
According to family sources, Rinku and Priya met through a mutual friend, and their relationship blossomed over time. Both families gave their blessings after several rounds of discussions and meetings.
“They’ve known each other for over a year now and liked each other from the beginning. With the consent of both families, the match was fixed,” said Tufani Saroj.
The couple’s engagement on June 8 will mark the beginning of a series of wedding events leading up to the grand ceremony in November.
