SUV Segment Drives Growth
The SUV portfolio continues to be Mahindra’s strongest asset, with total SUV sales, including exports, touching 54,819 units in May 2025. Domestic demand remained high, fueled by popular models such as the XUV 3XO, Bolero, Thar, XUV 700, and Scorpio-N.

In the three-wheeler category, including electric variants, the company registered a 11% increase, selling 6,635 units in May 2025. This growth aligns with Mahindra’s efforts to expand its presence in the last-mile mobility segment.
Exports Witness Strong Surge
Mahindra also recorded a 37% increase in exports, reaching 3,652 units in May 2025. The international demand for Mahindra’s SUVs and commercial vehicles contributed to the company’s overall growth and diversified revenue streams.
Year-to-date, Mahindra’s export performance has jumped by 55%, highlighting the brand’s expanding footprint in overseas markets.
Year-to-Date Highlights: UV Sales Up 24%
From April to May 2025, Mahindra has already sold 104,761 utility vehicles, showing a 24% increase compared to the same period last year. This rapid growth is a result of consistent market performance, strong product pipeline, and high consumer trust in the Mahindra brand.
Electric and ICE Vehicles Power the Portfolio
Mahindra continues to see balanced demand across its traditional ICE lineup and new-age electric vehicles. Its ICE models, such as the Bolero Neo, Thar Roxx, Scorpio Classic, and XUV 700, remain popular in both rural and urban markets.
In the EV space, Mahindra’s new-generation electric SUVs like the BE 6 and XEV 9e are gaining traction among eco-conscious consumers.
Conclusion: Strong Momentum in a Competitive Market
Mahindra & Mahindra’s strong sales in May 2025 reflect its ability to adapt to evolving market demands while maintaining excellence across product segments. The impressive 21% growth in SUV sales, coupled with rising exports and expanding EV sales, positions the company as a strong contender in India’s highly competitive automotive sector.
