Major Administrative Reshuffle in Jammu and Kashmir: 134 Officers Transferred Across Key Departments

Jammu, June 11 – In a significant move, the Jammu and Kashmir government has announced a major administrative reshuffle, transferring and posting 134 senior officers across various departments with immediate effect. The reshuffle includes officials at the level of Special Secretary, Secretary, Commissioner, Managing Director, and Director.


Tourism Development Authorities Get New CEOs

As part of the reshuffle, several Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) have been appointed for different Tourism Development Authorities:

  • Virendra Kumar Manyal: CEO, Patnitop Tourism Development Authority

  • Kulbhushan Khajuria: CEO, Rajouri Tourism Development Authority

  • Mohammad Rauf Rehman: CEO, Kokernag Tourism Development Authority

  • Joginder Singh Jasrotia: CEO, Bhaderwah Tourism Development Authority

  • Babu Ram Tandon: CEO, Bani-Basholi Tourism Development Authority

These changes aim to boost tourism operations and enhance administrative efficiency in key regions.


Key Departmental Transfers

The reshuffle also includes significant changes in other major departments:

  • Bashir Ahmad Dar, Managing Director of JKPCC, has been appointed as Secretary of the Jammu and Kashmir Public Service Commission.

  • Smita Sethi, Secretary in the Industries and Commerce Department, has been posted as Commissioner of Food and Drugs Administration.

  • Mathora Masoom, Special Secretary in the Tourism Department, has been appointed as Managing Director of Jammu and Kashmir Financial Corporation.


Purpose of the Reshuffle

According to the General Administration Department (GAD), these transfers aim to ensure improved governance and better service delivery across the Union Territory. The reshuffle is part of the government’s ongoing efforts to streamline administration and strengthen institutional performance.
