Two Labourers Killed in Chhattisgarh After Goods Train Hits Workers Resting on Railway Tracks
In a tragic incident in Chhattisgarh’s Balod district, two labourers lost their lives after being run over by a goods train while they were resting on the railway tracks. The accident occurred in the early hours of Tuesday between Dallirajhra and Kusumkasa stations on the Dallirajhra-Durg rail route.

According to police reports, approximately 11 labourers, including the victims, were traveling on foot towards Kusumkasa. Five of them decided to rest on the tracks when a goods train approached. While one worker managed to alert the others and escape, four were struck by the train. Two of them, identified as Dillu Rai (19) and Krishna (20), died on the spot. The other two, Ajay Rai and Vikas Amran, sustained injuries and were admitted to the district hospital.
Victims’ Background
All four individuals were migrant workers from Jharkhand. They had been engaged in construction work in the region and were traveling back to their place of employment when the unfortunate incident occurred.
