Clash Between Two Groups Turns Violent in Outer Delhi, Police Recover Weapon Used
New Delhi, June 11 – A violent clash between two groups in Delhi’s Bhalswa Dairy area escalated into a firing incident, leaving three people injured, including a woman. The incident took place on Monday night around 9:42 PM at Ganesh Chowk, Guru Nanak Dev Colony, under the Bhalswa Dairy police station limits.
Details of the Incident
According to Outer-North District DCP Hareshwar V Swami, the police received a PCR call about the firing. Upon reaching the spot, officers found 19-year-old Rahul Kumar with a gunshot wound to his leg, 19-year-old Jitendra with a head injury, and 45-year-old Sunita Devi, who sustained minor injuries during the clash.
All three victims were immediately rushed to Babu Jagjivan Ram Hospital in Jahangirpuri for treatment.
Clash Triggered by a Previous Dispute
The investigation revealed that a minor dispute earlier in the day between Jitendra and a minor boy led to the violence. The boy later returned with his brother and friends, carrying bricks and a pistol. The group allegedly fired shots and attacked the victims, resulting in the injuries.
Police Action and Arrests
The police registered a case under relevant sections and launched an investigation. By examining CCTV footage and gathering technical and human intelligence, the authorities arrested two main accused—Dinesh alias Monty and Golu—along with two minors involved in the attack.
The pistol used in the crime has been recovered, and the accused are currently being interrogated for further details. Police have confirmed that further action is underway.
