Major Boost to Education as Yogi Govt Unveils ₹3.3k-Crore Projects for Basic School Infrastructure

Lucknow, May 2025 – In a significant step toward strengthening the foundation of education in Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has launched a massive ₹3,300 crore initiative aimed at improving basic education across the state. The comprehensive plan focuses on upgrading school infrastructure, enhancing digital learning tools, and ensuring a better learning environment for millions of students.

The launch took place at an official event attended by senior education department officials, teachers, and students. The Chief Minister emphasized the importance of quality education in shaping the future of the state and reiterated his government’s commitment to empowering children through better facilities.

Key Highlights of the ₹3,300 Cr Education Project:

1. Infrastructure Upgrades:
Thousands of government primary and upper primary schools will receive funds for construction of classrooms, boundary walls, toilets, and playgrounds to provide a safe and welcoming learning environment.

2. Smart Classrooms & Digital Learning:
The initiative includes installation of smart classrooms with projectors, e-content, and internet access, promoting digital education even in rural areas.

3. Focus on Girl Child Education:
Special provisions are being made to enhance safety, hygiene, and facilities for girl students, including separate toilets and menstrual hygiene awareness programs.

4. Teacher Training & Recruitment:
Funds will also be used for skill development of teachers through training modules and the recruitment of additional qualified teaching staff.

5. Inclusive & Accessible Education:
The projects aim to ensure that children from marginalized communities, including Scheduled Castes and minorities, have equal access to quality education.

Speaking at the event, CM Yogi Adityanath said, “Education is the foundation of a developed society. This investment will not only improve infrastructure but also change the learning experience for children across Uttar Pradesh.”
